My name is Olivia, but everyone calls me Liv. I can’t remember the last time anyone called me Olivia actually.
Age:
I am 19 years of age.
Where are you from?
I was born in England, but moved here in 2003 and currently live in Melbourne.
What do you do full time?
I currently work for City Facilities Management in the tech support team, and I am about to start studying at Swinburne online, doing a Bachelor of Social Science (Criminology), and I am so excited to start! I am really happy with where my life is at the moment, it has been a long time coming but I finally have a job I am happy with, and a University course I am excited to begin.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I am hopefully engaged, or heading in that direction (I have only been with my boyfriend for 2.5 years), and I really want to be in the process of either buy or build a home. Once you are in the renting game it can be difficult to get back out, so I would love to build and design my home. Although it is an expensive process, so I can’t expect that to happen over night. Oh, my boyfriend and I both really want to own a pug, so if we have our own house/are in the process, we are also seriously investigating in pure pug breeders.
When did you start 'Livv Beautyy'?
I started my blog and Instagram just over a year ago now, time has gone so fast!
What inspired you to take up blogging?
I had become increasingly interested in make up on YouTube and my tiny collection started to get bigger. I was only following one ‘beauty blogger’ on Instagram which was Kayla (@kikikaylzz) who really helped me get started in the beginning.
I really want to post more regularly and more diverse content, I eventually want to do posts in fashion, travel and home decor but for now I am just trying to build a good reading base with my beauty posts. I recently updated my blog and changed the lay out of everything, so I am really happy with where it as at, at the moment. But there is always room for improvement.
Who are some other bloggers that inspire you?
I loved Zoella’s blog a few years back, when she had just started YouTube so her blog was her main focus. I also love reading and supporting my friends on Instagram such as Ebony (@mybeautyconfessional) and Samantha (@thatlittlebeautyblog).
What is your favourite area? (Hair, makeup, beauty) why?
Makeup is definitely my favourite ‘beauty’ area. My hair pretty much deals with itself most days (luckily), where as make up is a true passion of mine. I may not be able to create the most amazing and intricate eye looks, but I have fun in the process which is what I love. I find it so relaxing yet fun and exciting, using new products and trying new things.
What is your favourite makeup brand? Why?
It is definitely a toss up between Rimmel and Mac. I love them as I think both brands excel in all areas of make up, which is what I love in a brand. If you were to ask me what my favourite brand is in terms of packaging, it would definitely be Too Faced. I mean, have you seen the new blushes coming out? Yes, I’ll take one in every colour please.
What is your favourite skincare brand? Why?
My skincare routine is usually slim to none, although lately I have been trying to branch out. I have been loving the ‘Grown Alchemist’ range, and I also exclusively use Garnier Micellar Water and Aveeno Moisturiser. They work so well for my normal-dry skin, and I have been using them for years!
What is your favourite part about blogging?
My favourite part about blogging is two fold. Of course, first is the people I meet! Although I haven’t met any in person yet (hellooo social anxiety), I have great, meaningful conversations with so many of them, it feels like I have known them for years. Second is definitely the photo taking process. I love choosing the products, arranging them just right, making sure everything is perfect before taking the photo. Lately my photo style has been changing, and I have been loving every minute of it.
