Hello My Lovelies,
I hope you are all doing well and you had a lovely week! Yay for it finally being the weekend! Being a beauty blogger I love to try out new makeup and beauty goodies to see what works for myself but also to review for my lovely readers. Being someone who loves to play with makeup and endlessly swatch makeup in-stores, for myself and my blog I always need a good supply of makeup remover on hand. I have tried near enough every single makeup remover and brand you could possibly think of. I was recently contacted about the Claudia Louch Oil Free Makeup Remover and I was extremely intrigued to give it a try and I thought I would share my thoughts with you all.
Firstly, to start of this review I thought I would talk to you a little bit about the brand. Claudia Louch was a completely new brand for me to give a try so I was a real newbie, however, after browsing through the website I found out some great information. Claudia Louch is an internationally renowned natural holistic skin specialist, nutritionist, pharmacologist and health scientist operating from her Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic in Harley Street, London, which was founded in 2005. Claudia Louch's natural approach to skin and health drives from a deeply-rooted knowledge of phytomedical and nutritional science, as well as cutting edge pharmacology and drug discovery. With a background in both conventional pharmacology and phytomedical science, Claudia Louch is in a unique position to offer patients her knowledge on the benefits of plant-based treatments.
The Claudia Louch Oil Free Makeup Remover has a non-irritating, oil free formula with natural active ingredients of soothing cucumber fruit extract and chamomile flower extract, to effectively remove makeup from the delicate eye area. It leaves no oily residue behind and is fragrance free. The formulation is 94% natural hypoallergenic, allergy-tested, non-comedogenic and free from fragrances and harsh chemicals including parabens, methylisothiazolinone and SLS…so you know you are getting something completely nasty free and perfect for even the most sensitive of skin types. For £37.40 it is definitely a luxurious product and I do use it sparingly as in most cases my makeup removers can range anything below £15. To remove my eye makeup I add one to two pumps onto a cotton pad and then gently rest the cotton pan on my eyes to let the product soak into my makeup for a few seconds before swiping away. Depending on how heavy my makeup is on a particular day will vary if I have to go back with another cotton pad, however, usually once is enough as the product does dissolve my makeup really well.
The packaging was a show stopper for me amongst the amazing formulation of the product itself. I was extremely intrigued to give the product a try, however, I think the packaging really sold me also, it just looks so sleek and luxurious like nothing else I have seen on the market at the moment. I love the black and silver detailing and also the fact that the product has an easy to use and functional pump. I for one can sometimes get makeup remover spillage all over my vanity (guilty as charged) so it's nice to see an alternative distribution technique.
Overall, I absolutely adore this makeup remover and I would recommend it to anyone who is on the hunt for a more luxurious product or who has extremely sensitive skin. For £37.40 the price point is quite high but if the product does exactly what it says it does without all the nasties some other brands might have you might be willing to pay that price. If you would like to give this product a try or give the website a browse you can do so my clicking here.
I hope you all enjoyed this post, I would love to know what your thoughts are on the products and if you would give it a try! Like always lovelies, if you have any questions, requests or if you just want a chat you can contact me on my social media or leave me a comment below. I love hearing from you all and i make sure to read every single comment…they really make my day!
Lots of Love
