Henry Giroux appeared on max Keiser's program to talk about the dumming down of American culture and the anti-intellectualism that has enabled a Donald Trump to be a serious presidential candidate in 2016. Giroux blamed a complicate media for installing a tremendous fear in his country of anything that is different. Giroux went on to rip Donald Trump a new asshole saying the stupidity of trump and how his popular is mainly due him talking down towards the ignorant population supporting him.
The disposable outlook of the corporate culture towards people and workers was discussed by these guys. Giroux also talked about current economic crisis being ignored and consequences by the media is how media conglomerates have achieved their goals of turning the political system into an entertainment one which important discussions and new directions are ignored. Giroux described the appeasement of the American public with entertainment violence has lead to this situation of stupidity that eventually is endangering our entire social structure. 
The stranglehold of the entertainment industry of movies and television on this country is the top problem and most serious threat to the survivability of America has a nation. The Superhero and zombie movie culture has been directed and created by a small segment class of elites desperately trying to control the population and set a social agenda of mass consumption and overseas growth for the upper classes. Donald Trump is a result of this mass communication era and the elites are both worried about him in power as well as the result of a public growing weary of their monopoly of control of business and the corporate state turning America into some t=former corrupt third world or former Communist state where instead of a one party state we have a choice of the lesser of two evils to lead the country
